Hotels are dear in Switzerland and Basel, this hotel is excellent quality/price ratio.Very good breakfast included type buffet with proteins (ham, hard eggs, cheese, yogurt) and several types of bread and pastries, butter, jam, coffee machine/cappuccino etc, flat and sparkling water.The top floor bedroom was to be with a single bed, but I had two twin beds, very comfortable bed, good bathroom with shower.At my request I was brought to a kettle and a cup, very pleasant staff, at reception like cleaning women.The situation in Basel is perfect, well served by trams and buses (free with the Basel Card offered by the hotel, it also gives the half-car for the zoo and the museums), at a resort of the Kunstmuseum just from the Another side of the Rhine.About 15-20 min from tram station.I did not test the Italian restaurant on the ground floor.If I go back to Basel, it will surely be in this hotel.

Two minor faults with regard to the qualities of the hotel: for people with locomotion problems, there are 4+2 steps to arrive at the reception and then the elevator stops at mid-extract, so as to serve Two floors, you have to go up or down 7-8 steps.My twin room on the top floor is small compared to the size of the beds, you have to sneak to reach the table under the window, avoiding hitting your head on wall.

I was in this hotel for the first time and I have to say that I felt comfortable around.Everything was right here: Starting on my very late arrival (11 p.m.): I got a direction of notification of how I come to the hotel and my room card, over the room and the nice employees to the breakfast buffet.The room was clean and equipped with everything necessary, the bed was comfortable and the care products in the bathroom were replenished for the next day.The buffet was not overly rich, but varied and delicious.The location was perfectly directly at a combined tram and bus stop.It was also nice that the hotel had a restaurant, so I treated myself to a delicious dinner in the evening.

The only drawback was this central location, but because the weekend was not so much traffic in the morning that could have disturbed.

Excellent location

We had booked this hotel because there was the possibility of having a cradle.At the beginning there was no cradle, it was brought to us later, not mounted, without sheets but above all without mattress.The cradle had a huge lives in the center, so without a mattress it was unusable.The girl had to sleep in bed with us (French bed), not being used to sleeping, much less us.The restaurant of the hotel very little child friendly, did not want to make the pasta (brought by us, it was only cooked) and could not even have dinner, since there was no suitable foods for a 12 -month -old girl.

Peaceful and cozy, neat little hotel in a good location.Friendly and helpful staff.Delicious and versatile breakfast with fresh rolls.The room window was on the lively Wettstein Square, but the traffic sounds were not heard.The city center and the old town can be reached on foot, for example, the Art Museum is right away from the Wettstein Bridge.Also, the wheelchair can be easily reached from Wettstein Square.The River River Beach is very close to the hotel.At this hotel I will also stay on the next Basel trip.

By the way, the bed was good, but the pillow could have been a little more fluffy.

Two minor points could be improved: - provide an additional pillow.I had to sleep with the upper body a little raised and a 2nd pillow would have helped me a lot.When you want to read in bed too.- A 2 chair would also be welcome.There is room in the entrance to make a 2nd chair available.

Very friendly staff, absolutely central location to the train stations, to the Rhine and the bank on the north side, to the old town with Münster, the Tinguelymuseum and Kunstverein as well as directly on Wettsteinplatz with tram and bus.We were able to park our bikes in the reception under the stairs.

The location of the hotel is perfect.A nice base for exploring the city of Basel.The hotel gives you the Baselcard ,, with which you can use public transport for free.

Actually nothing.The breakfast is not very extensive, but the tasty coffee and the piece of cinnamon bread are doing a lot.

Localization is perfect due to being placed next to the tram station which can get you quickly anywhere in Basel, food was good.

Bed should be replaced or at least matress could be upgraded, as it wasn’t really comfortable and same goes with the pillow which was too small and thin.

Great location.Public transport, restaurants, bakery, shopping and Rhine promenade directly in front of the hotel.

Not suitable for people with limited freedom of movement.The lift holds between floors with the rooms and the stairs are very steep and the steps are very narrow.

The hotel is centrally situated, within walking distance from the city center.

The breakfast was very modest and unexpectedly the cutlery was not washed correctly as I found that my knife had traces of dried food. Even the second knife I tried had the same issue.

Very easy location - reachable from the main train station by streetcars 2,6,8 and 11. And remember, if you have hotel reservation in CH, you don't have to buy a ticket for the public transportation. Excellent breakfast.

Very friendly staff and spoke Spanish.The perfect location, in front of the Metro stop.Cleaning and comfort of the bed.The pizzas of the restaurant great.Fair breakfast but what is necessary and all rich.
