The view was outstanding and the interior decor intriguing! Comfy bed nice breakfast.

Rooms were a little tired - bath enamel chipped and room felt generally under par. The gardens felt unwelcoming and the terrace furniture was sparce and uncomfortable. The bar was expensive and the Cremant served gave us a headache! Having visited a vineyard and tasted some beautiful examples earlier in the day, we felt the bottle we were served live up to its price tag. The restaurant wasn't open and there was only apparently one member of staff on duty who was welcoming guests, showing us to our rooms, running the bar and serving the pre-ordered sharing platters which are on offer on nights with no dinner. However, other guests hadn't pre-ordered and were left with a packet of crisps for their evening meal. The chateau is quite out of the way so if you're there with no food, there is nowhere within a 15 minute drive which is open on a Mondat or Tuesday evening.

Very good breakfast, with a good sweet/salty balance, and the possibility of taking it in the magnificent restaurant room with direct view of the Loire.The rooms are spacious and comfortable (double deluxe), and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating.We also recommend the restaurant which is of quality.In short, everything is there to spend a pleasant weekend in the calm of a magnificent castle allowing to visit Saumur and its surroundings.We will gladly come back!

The environment, overlooking the Loira and in the middle of the forest is impressive.The restaurant is very good, I recommend trying it, although the letter is not very extensive.Breakfast is rich and with quality products.

At the accessibility level it is complicated, you have to climb or lower stairs almost for everything.The price of wine in the totally excessive restaurant ... twice as any other restaurant in the area for similar wines.

Breakfast is still good. Relatively speaking, the price is not high, and the space of the room is very large. The woods outside the castle are very comfortable, and the beautiful flowers are in the grass.

It is still a bit far from the urban area. It is not convenient to eat. You need to drive to 10 kilometers away, but after all, it is a castle -type hotel. You can also understand

Lovely location with view over the Loire, ate in the restaurant which was fab if expensive.

Room wasn’t in the main chateau and although large and lovely the shower was really moldy which seemed odd. Got caught out with a wine promotion which ended up with us paying double the amount we had thought, waiter did not alert us to it even though we asked.

No vegetables (cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, salad) at breakfast.

We stayed in the Suite Marie-Louise and it was great. Both the main bed and sofa bed were comfortable. Room was large with a fantastic view of the river. Staff were very helpful.

Restaurant was closed during our stay (we were given plenty of notice and alternatives) which wasn’t a problem, but we would have liked to try it out.

A magnificent castle which dominates the Loire thus offering a sublime view.The welcome is excellent.The magnificent room.The cocktails are excellent and the bar simply sumptuous.The meal is divine and the staff who are very careful at every moment of the stay.

Just if I may allow myself there is a coffee maker and teapot available (great) except that the location is not suitable and to be able to have access to the catch I had to put them on the ground .....

The situation was stunning. The decor inside was sumptuous. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and comfortable offering a wonderful view over the Loire. The staff were welcoming, gracious and helpful.

The facilities were beautiful, the very friendly and close staff, the beautiful room, made you feel like a princess.The delicious breakfast and TB have a restaurant service.I will repeat without a doubt.

We stayed in the Napoleon suite, we are delighted with our stay.The rest had a balcony with a superb seen on the Loire.
