The Old Medical Hall

Great central location. Very comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom with a great shower. Lots of choice on the breakfast menu and was mostly delicious apart from the under cooked hash brown which I'm sure would have been sorted if I had mentioned it, but I didn't. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Slight miscommunication which was partly my fault as I didn't confirm our arrival time in advance. Following a text from the owner I confirmed our arrival time but got no further response and when we arrived there was nobody there. After 2 phone calls we were sorted.

Easy instructions from Lorna to get in to property as we arrived late.Great welcome from Caroline who works there at breakfast, and we had great chats with them both. Really l nice people and we were sorry not to have met David too as he and Lorna have worked hard as a team and have a passion for what they do . The breakfast was delicious and we saw some cakes being made (premise was also a tea shop until recently) and all looked yum.. what a great location too nice and quirky and really spotless rooms . Loved the shabby chic vibe.

This charming and historic building has been sensitively refurbished to offer comfortable modern accommodation while still retaining its character. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with modern ensuite facilities; a great choice of food for breakfast; excellent communication with the property, and helpful accommodating staff. Highly recommended.

Nice cosy b&b Located In the center of town very friendly staff and owner gave us good Recommendations of the surrounding area the breakfast was delicious and the room was clean would stay again.

Tv was small and there was a slug in the bathroom although it wasn't there when we first arrived it must have crawled in

The Breakfast was cooked to perfection and served with a smile and a chat.

I'm just mentioning this for the sake of answering the question but maybe if the breakfast table had marmalade, mayonnaise and tomato ketchup. I'm sure we would have got them if we asked and I did.

Staff were amazing. Breakfast choice was extremely good, and well cooked. Room was a little quirky. Nothing was level, but it was a very old house, Easy check in and out.

Couple of very large cobwebs in bedroom. Steep stairs, but then we were up in the gods.

Fabulous welcome. Beautiful rooms with character. Tasty breakfast with the vegetarians very well catered for.

All excellent in fact, just a little sad that the tearooms are no longer open. However we did enjoy the baking products in local restaurants.

It was so nice of Lorna to have breakfast out for folks who had to leave early.

My room was a bit chilly at times but I know there's an energy crisis. The downy covers kept me warm and the shower was nice and hot!

Location is excellent: centre of town! Comfortable and clean. Good breakfast.

We had top floor and the stairs are steep and narrow. Not a big problem for us, but may be a consideration for others.

Lorna is a great and warm hostess who bakes incredible delicious muffins. The room and the bathroom are super langer and equipped with everything you need.

Old pharmacy, rebuilt and carefully renovated.Very central location, everything can be reached on foot.Direct, very nice contact with the owner.

The building is so quirky and full of character. Lorna is an amazing host and went above and beyond for us. Will definitely be going back soon!

Very cosy and clean, and in a great location to explore Castletownbere by foot or to walk to the ferry for Bere Island
