This is the third time we have stayed at this quirky little hotel. It's an odd place, set high on a mountain, looking down over Gatlinburg (hence the name, I guess). It's not like any other hotel I've ever stayed in. We love the price and the "family room" with bunk beds and a king. We love that it's in the middle of everything. We love that it's not a cookie cutter replica of every other place. They have done some upgrades (paint and carpet). We will always stay here in Gatlinburg.
The oddness includes the fact that there is no office to check in. You get a code and that's great. There's a kitchen and community room. But it makes it a little difficult if you need room service. The first night there was no heat in one of our rooms and the maid and maintenance people came immediately and fixed it. The next morning I requested more towels and nobody ever came.

I liked the community area, it looked like an apartment. The views from the room were nice; I liked the big windows. It was in a good location to where we needed to go for the weekend.
The shower water was lukewarm and never got hot. The designated smoking area was against a wooded area and had no lighting. The gray towels were new (I like that lol), but they left fuzzies on your hands when using them (I’m a contact lens wearer). The steep hill up to the parking area. There was no ‘do not disturb’ sign for the room. There wasn’t a Bible in the room (like every hotel I’ve ever stayed in). There wasn’t a fan in the bathroom and there was mildew accumulating on the hanging picture in the bathroom. The room smelled like it was a previously smoking facility. There was a spot of mold on the brick behind the main entrance door.

Location was absolutely beautiful, scenery awesome, community kitchen was genius and so beneficial since we traveled on Christmas and nothing was open. The bed was super comfy and facilities were clean, really appreciated the well folded and neat towels and extra hand towels, I almost wanted to stay for an extra night just because it was such a well stocked and beautiful room
The parking situation could have been better explained, and the punching in to rooms could be good for introverts but I missed getting greeted at a counter and getting things explained. It may not be good for people afraid of heights since you're on a cliff and it is kind of nerve wracking to walk to your room along a slippery floor

The room was clean and they had no problem getting us an extra blanket and pillows.
The shower curtain either had a blood stain or poop on the shower curtain and the water never got hot. It barely got luke warm. On top of that you couldn't even pull the shower across the entire tub because the rings would hit the light and if you tried to bypass it, it popped the light off. So we didn't want to shower in a cold shower with a suspicious stain on the shower curtain. Otherwise we would have been pleased with our stay.

This is the second time we have stayed there. It's always clean and well put together in the rooms we are provided. Great location for downtown. The price is very reasonable.
The hot water once again didn't work very well. We mostly took cool showers. The hot water wasn't working the first time we stayed there back in July either. But I thought they would have fixed it already. But I guess not.

Location was great, room was very spacious! They r doing remodels but things were quiet!
No WiFi but they did have direct tv so the kids still had numerous things to watch! Check in was a little odd they have no check in desk u have to call a number to get your room and passcode but the lady we talked to was very friendly and got us in our room quickly!

Great location and very nice view from the balcony. Very nice and useful community kitchen. Overall good value for money.
On our late arrival, the door lock code shared on phone didn't work. It took some time to call the reception, since it was closed but the new code worked fine. Everything else was great.

I liked how the property was close to everything. I also liked how they put forth effort in the kitchen facility and the hang out room.
There was one little stain on the bed that looked like food or something like that. However, the blanket smelt and looked like for the most part if has been washed.

This is a great location. Nice walk DOWN HILL to the main streets. Please take the blue trolley up. Great economy motel. We wanted to spend our money on shopping instead of a place to sleep. So it was great. Staff was very very helpful. I would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. ?

Located right outside the downtown area. Room was comfortable and clean. Didn't utilize the kitchen and share space but was happy it was there just in case.
Only suggestion is to place a hook near the shower to hang towels for easier access instead of dripping across to get to a towel.

The room was simple, clean, and conveniently located close to the Gatlinburg strip. The check-in first confused me because I was looking for the office, but then I got a text at check-in time with my door code, and I actually really liked how that was set up.
I have no complaints.

It was very confusing at first. However, I did not need to go to the office to check in or out and they messaged you about stuff to do.
We had a stained towel and comforter. The water would not really warm up a lot and the room was extremely hot even when turning down the air.

We really appreciated the contactless check-in and how easily accessible the rooms were. the hotel is a good distance from downtown Gatlinburg as well as the trolley stop if you don’t want to pay for parking.

I loved the location! It was close enough to the strip but not too close which was perfect for us because we had our children with us and we wanted peace and quiet at night!

Clean rooms and keyless entry into the rooms.
The property was located on a step hill and the only way to get to your rooms. No ice machine and low water pressure in the shower/bath tub, plus the water temperature was lukewarm to warm.
