Hotel Restaurant Jungfrau

Generally, the hotel view is really nice (if you have booked with a balcony) and the hotel rooms are relatively clean. Staff are accommodating with our request like checking or changing rooms and waited for us on our 1st day despite its late and beyond their working hours which we appreciate it so much.

There is no breakfast provided as the hotel starts only at 11 or so and only serve lunch and dinner . No basic necessity like shampoo or soap, no hair dryer or even complimentary water. Rooms are not properly checked if doors are properly working or not. And the stairs to go up is very uncomfortable (particularly the spiral staircase on the first floor) esp if there is a lugagge to carry up.

The hotel is basic and while previous reviews are accurate, it’s well priced and you get what you pay for. Spacious room, comfy king sized bed. Great shower, loo with a view over the beautiful waterfall. Friendly staff who responded quickly to asks for more pillows etc.

As it’s basic there were few sockets and not all of them worked. Had to pay extra for linen and towels but we knew of this beforehand. No restaurant or dining facilities but honestly think we were the only guests so that’s understandable. They do have a ‘sister’ hotel we could have used which was a good compromise. The village was quiet but the hotel perfectly met our expectations and a great base for a few days.

After reading recent reviews, I was initially concerned of what to expect for our stay. I felt it necessary to leave this review, as our stay was excellent. Check in and out were easy (through the restaurant staff), room was clean and views from the room were 11/10! We requested a waterfall view and it did not disappoint!! It is an older hotel in a small mountain town, so yes, there are some cracks in the walls, etc. that others have complained about, but these did not affect our stay in the slightest (and truthfully are to be expected in most of these older buildings in the area!). Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

The location is very good, it's very close to the waterfall and you can explore the valley and go to Mürren and Wengen by cable car and train which is also close to the hotel, and also I stayed at the room 13 which has the perfect view of the waterfall. I also like the easy checkin and checkout facility of the property, they also keep the luggage after you checkout so you can explore more.

The place needs some renovation, for example it would be better for them to apply some good waterproof paint on the windows of the bathroom which were somewhat water damaged.

The location of the hotel is great.And from the outside the hotel looks pretty.The staff is friendly and quick.Eating in The Bell was good ... However, the potatoes for the fondue could be done before.

When you come to your room, you are right in the bathroom.The door to the courtyard does not close properly.The walls have no wallpaper in some places or are littered with spots.In the toilet, the cheap seat slips out of the bracket again and again.The controller in the hand when the heating was turned.No TV.It is in need of renovation.

Location is amazing! And staff was friendly, room was clean and at an excellent price. The only thing was the reception was not open during our stay and it was self check in. Also our room doesn’t have a TV BUT the view from our window made up for it, room 13. Would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future.

The facilities are ok, little bit old but comfortable. I love the location, I get in the town late at night but they let my room key in one envelope, that was great, thank you so much, I enjoyed the time with my family, I will come back, ??

Everybody in the town go to sleep early, there's nothing to do after 7 pm

Beds like planks The floors are not soundproof. Patron above continuously walks around their room creating thumping above us A Bottletop from a previous patron was still in the sink!

We could not close and open the door easily and that the door stood, and they gave us good instructions to make the check in, it is a bit confusing but in general everything is fine

Hotel in need of an upgrade. Window didn't close properly, bathroom is very old and stained. Still made for a comfortable stay for 2 nights only. Cleaning lady was lovely.

The location, it was very comfortable, warm, the restaurant liked the fondue.

It was necessary to look for an adapter for sockets, there is no dryer for clothing and shoes, some low ceilings.

We loved our family room, so private for the couple yet so comfortable for the whole family. Our balcony had the best views of the town, waterfall and beautiful mountains.

Proximity to metro

No breakfast eventhough it’s been paid bec it’s “offpeak” as per staff, no shampoo/soap, key is broken (we figured it out on our own)

the staff, location is great. room is clean. room has kettle and wardrobe. it’s good that they have restaurant downstairs.

There is no one at the hotel.You give a message and no one responds.I wanted to stay more days in town and no one m answered.
