Landhotel & Restaurant Walsers

I stayed in the second newer building (separate from the restaurant / check-in building). The room was spacious, quiet and very clean. The hotel is located in a picturesque location with a hill and vineyard as a view across the street from the second building. There is a train station and bus stop on the opposite side of the same block. The breakfast and the food in the restaurant was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was enough parking for the number of guests the hotel had and the neighboring area was a quiet small town type setting.

There didn't seem to be much else in the area as far as other alternatives for dinner and I was traveling without a car during a day when the German train workers were on strike. The food at the restaurant was great but there were really no inexpensive options. Not a negative but the restaurant was very popular on the weekend and so a reservation is recommended. Despite being busy the hotel was well equipped to handle the number of guests.

Very nice spacious room with a cozy bed.The pillows are a little too soft for my taste.There is a minibar with water in the hallway.The rooms are located in a separate house with their own parking spaces and are very modern and equipped.The hotel uses natural cosmetics products from the "Stop the Water While Using Me" which are really excellent!The breakfast buffet is very good and offers a good selection including fresh fruit and very delicious rolls.However, the restaurant in the evening is even better.Great kitchen and delicious wines (we are finally in the Markgräflerland) make the Walsers one of the top recommendations in the region in my eyes.The card is small but very fine and the dishes are well prepared, regional & seasonal.WiFi in the room and in the hotel is very good.

Heating in the room is realized via the air conditioner.This must also be used at minus temperatures, the disadvantage is the volume and the air circulation.

The breakfast was very well prepared, all the ingredients were fresh and very tasty.Fresh fruit cut open to the muesli or yogurt.Really perfect.In the associated restaurant, you can eat out in the evening.

If you want to sleep with the window open (I don't do this) that will probably disturb the nearby railway line.But there is air conditioning, who needs this!

Very friendly staff, especially at dinner time. The food was good but rather expensive. Breakfast was very good. The room we had was spacious and the connecting bathroom very good.

The creaking floor in our bedroom woke the other up when using the bathroom, and for us the bed was very hard. It is not a perfect place to walk your dogs if you bring them.

Exceeded expectations indeed, well situated, even had EV charging that worked well. Immaculate establishment. Food excellent. Slight arrogance, but that was probably to mask not being confident in English, which was of course "perfect" .. Looking forward to using this hotel again.

Beautiful and clean, lovely room, nice set up and convenient parking. Restaurant was great too, lovely food and staff.

Check in at the restaurant just up the road could cause a confusion to some travellers but not me.

The food in the hotel in the evening was great, self -paying, but great!Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy breakfast because we had to leave at 6.30 hotel, but got a roll with and fruit, very, very nice :-)

Room heating that is difficult to adjust.Do not be warned that the restaurant was closed on the evening of my stay.
