Pearl Island Beach Hotel

A small hotel run by Germans with very nice staff.The location on the beach is beautiful and great for walking.You can enjoy the view from the pool and the tables.There was a refrigerator and a small safe in the room.We also had air conditioning and a fan, so that we could change as required.There is a small supermarket directly on the street.

The waves in the sea were very strong at our stay, so it would have been dangerous to swim there.It didn't bother us because the pool is right on the beach.We had a few small ants in the bathroom because our bathroom window could not be completely closed.Since they did not come to the room, it didn't bother us.The hotel closed shortly after our stay for the summer months.According to the manager, some renovation work should be carried out over the summer.

We were welcomed very friendly by German hotel management and enjoyed the time very much!The food in the hotel's restaurant is great and appropriately in terms of price.The coffee was just great and every two days there are rolls or bread for breakfast.The pool invites you to swim.The rooms are clean and all wishes are fulfilled.We can highly recommend this hotel!

The sea has a strong surf and is only recommended for adults.The parasols could be set up more distance from the stone wall so that you can get enough shade on the couch even after noon.More protective measures against mosquitoes in the restaurant area.If you are sensitive to noises, the train route nearby could be a disruptive factor early in the morning.And didn't bother it!All in all, no things that stop us.

The perfect small, well -kept hotel!From the greeting to departure to the airport, everything great!All employees were very helpful and friendly.I was organized an airport shuttle and I even received a breakfast 'to go' due to early departure.The pool is clean and has the best view of the sea.Very nice, quiet section of the beach in front of the hotel with enough free sun loungers and shadow spaces (I was happy to have booked on this section of the beach and not directly on the famous 'Turtle Beach'. There was a lot going on there and the beach was overcrowded and loud).The food too!Room with A/ C, refrigerator, beach/ shower towels equipped.Would come back at any time.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfy with air con and situated right on the beach. The breakfast was good and staff were helpful but overall really basic.

However, the pool wasn’t as big as expected/seems in the photos and didn’t seem as clean had an oily film on top of the water surface. Room was basic needs some TLC eg new curtains, fresh paint, netting over the slats in the windows in the bathroom to prevent bugs. Fine for one night for what we paid but we ruled out other hotels based on their pool as we wanted to make sure we had an opportunity to cool down and in hindsight we would have ruled out this one too as in the photos it seems much bigger/cleaner.

The location is absolutely perfect. It's right on the beach, but the waves can be big, so you have the pool to cool down if you don't feel like getting sand in your bathsuit. It's on the beach, but it's on a quiet stretch of the beach. You walk for a few minutes along the beach and you hit all the restaurants and bars and all, but the hotel itself is quiet. There is a restaurant, enough chairs and sunbeds for everyone. You have breakfast, move to the pool to cool down, then onto the sun bed. And start again! It's a small hotel, definitely doesn't feel like a resort! I kept extending my stay, because everything was perfect there.

Apartment for 6 Ludi is absolutely without dishes, only 1 plate, 1 cutlery, 2 glasses, 2 cups.Free of charge without coffee and tea.They can not close the door to 1 bedroom, in the 2nd air conditioning.After 14 days in Sri Lanka, this was our worst stay - including the worst breakfast.And the worst mattresses - bedside, spring.

This beachfront hotel is a hidden gem. Located in the heart of Hikkaduwa’s beach, I was blown away by its ocean view. One of my favorite moments was when in the pool, admiring the breathtaking sunset horizon, as it rained upon me. The sound of the rain drops meeting the water of the pool was truly beautiful and therapeutic. The restaurant made such the tastiest soup and butter fried shrimp I’ve ever, creating an everlasting impression on my palate and senses. I will be sure to return to the magical pearl of Hikkaduwa.

The location of the hotel is right by the sea.From the beautiful pool you have a great view of the beach and sea.The staff is very helpful.You can eat well in the restaurant.You can walk nicely on the beach.

The room, especially the bathroom, smelled musty, probably because of damp walls.The hotel is older.Galle and Hikkaduwa can only be reached by taxi.

The hotel is just super!The best in which we stopped at Sri Lanka) The price-quality ratio is simply beyond praise!Very cool owners) delicious breakfasts, and a restaurant in general!) In a 5 minutes on the tuk-tuk beach with turtles and a farm) just top) there are waves on the beach, but in 5 mines you can swim even for children)

A very nice accommodation!We stayed in the apartment with 3 bedrooms that exceeded our expectations.From the balcony you have a wonderful view of the beach and the sea and can watch wonderful sunsets.The staff is incredibly friendly and the food in the restaurant was also very tasty (included sea view)!Only recommended!

The resort is very nice, in good location, next to the beach and with clean pool and good restaurant. Breakfest and other food in menu are tasty. As a bonus they offer very good german dark bread for breakfest. Owner and staff are communicative and helpful. We fully recommend to stay in this accomodation.

Breakfast was great, and so were the other meals we bought there during our stay. Everything on the menu was also fair priced. Apart from the that, the pool was great and the staff was very friendly. Despite there being a lot of Russian tourists in Hikkaduwa we didn't meet any in the hotel.

Hotel led by two German gentlemen.Standard of the rooms and cleanliness significantly above average.A little bit more expensive for that.Is a bit in the middle of nowhere .. after hour to Galle.Funny detail: German bread every second day for breakfast.We would definitely come again.

The hotel is nicely located by the sea.Well -cleaned rooms and helpful staff.The breakfast can be consumed overlooking the sea.Good food in the restaurant.Extra was estimated that it was possible to submit clothes for washing, gold for someone traveling with hand luggage.

Fabulous resort, right next to the beach. Beautiful pool area. We had two different rooms, and both were clean and spacious. Breakfast was lovely. Had a fridge and toiletries.

We loved the service. Nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail was spot on. Staff very well trained and smiled constantly. Breakfast was excellent as was all on the menu that we tried.
