The moment you step into the entry, a magnificent little garden with hide aways, you realize all this is created with so much love and dedication to detail. That gets even topped by arriving in your quaint room and if that isn't enough, the breakfast is a break-feast! Your guest lord is taking time to explain a little history and great places to visit over a nice cup of coffee and a local treat. I visited with a friend as a stopover, yet will definitely return with my wife. simply marvelous!
Just to write something, as I dont really have anything: One must admit, this is not for the modern or minimalistic folks among us - all is very detailed and rich. And if you're over 1.90, the beds may become a little challenge - nothing dramatic and they fit the cozy rooms.

Quietly located in Den Hoorn.Very friendly owner Bert, who was so kind to pick us up and take us to the harbor.Nice rooms where Bert watches all the details. In addition, we received many tips and information about Texel on arrival with coffee and cake, a good start! With all the tips about nature and activities we were able to schedule our 2 days a little. The breakfast was included at the adjacent hotel-restaurant Loodsmans Welvaren.Delicious breakfast to start the day in a compact buffet style. You are nothing short of Bert and the haunted house.Rooms were great on the 1st floor. You have private sanitary facilities on the ground floor. That is very nice!We will definitely come back to Bert.
Actually, nothing was disappointing.

Cozy reception with an explanation about the history of the island, about the building and the village of Den Hoorn.Great breakfast was included, in the hotel directly located.Space for bicycles and charging point available for e-bikes.Sheltered sitting area on the terrace in the garden.Nice and characteristic building, that also means that there is sometimes some limited space.Great base for beach and cycling days on Texel.
The character of the building is beautiful, somewhat limited space of the staircase. That is not a disappointment, but perhaps a little more difficult for a few.

Bert was one of the best hosts we have ever met.It was really welcoming and explained the history of the island as well as suggesting where to go and what to see in front of a piece of exquisite cake and a liqueurs or typical of the island. The house is a historical structure expanded to welcome this BNB which is really nice and clean.Everything you may need is made available by Bert and here you really feel like your own home.We will definitely return for a new visit to Texel!
Nothing, really!

Price quality high. The room was small, the cottage is small, but very nice and efficiently furnished.Fully equipped.Everywhere was thought of, even if you forgot your toothbrush.Furthermore, Bert gave a very hospitable reception and useful introduction to Texel, and we experienced that it was exactly right. The breakfast in nearby Bistro is fine.
Maybe a tip to slide the bed something off the wall. The bed is large enough, but with your head against the sloping roof the bed is a bit short.

The service, the explanation, the location.Bert is always ready for you.Gives an explanation about the sights, markets actually everything you want to know.Bring and pick up service to and from the boat.Everything has been thought of.
Something bit on the small side.Especially for tall people the shower of room 1 and the heights of the stairs passage. But great to do.

We had a very warm welcome. The room is nickel and all you need is available. The manager is a person who shows a lot of hospitality and who is very careful. He explains everything about the island and rented bicycle at low prices. In addition, the price of the room is very reasonable compared to the other guest rooms/hotels.So I highly recommend this place.

Very small and super cozy B&B, everything made with a lot of love and well thought out to the smallest.Bert welcomes all of his guests personally and takes a lot of time to explain the history of the house, the island and sights.Highly recommended!
It's very tight and has a very steep staircase - but very cozy.Toilet below.

The hospitality!The location.The breakfast.
I really didn't find the sheets clean. There were blood stains in it.They were not clear white. There were black pieces on the fitted sheet my end.An animal also crawled out of one of the pillows.A box of tissues was wet at the bottom. The number of square meters is incorrect.

All the space and freedom in consultation. The location is violent.Nice bed and wonderful shower.Everything has been thought of.Super hospitable.
The toilet is one floor lower, sometimes difficult for the middle of the night, but it is a very atmospheric historic building.

Clean structure.Clean bedroom and bathroom but not on the same floor.Comfortable bed and pillow.Super shower with towels ok.Impeccable breakfast.
If if more than 1.85 tall it starts to be a little low.A little noisy portable air conditioner.

Very cozy B&B with a super friendly host.Very warm welcome with an extensive and enthusiastic explanation about the region.
The only downside is that the toilet is on the bottom floor and the room upstairs.
