Peninsula Excelsior Singapore, A Wyndham Hotel

We loved everything! The location was absolutely perfect , not only was it smack bang in the middle of the city centre, there was a mall right underneath the hotel with lots of food options, a supermarket (Fair Price) and two pharmacies. All the staff were lovely and greeted us with a big smile all the time. The room was spacious and modern with stunning views of Marina Sands and the CBD. There were also two swimming pools, a gym and a sauna, which we took full advantage of. The lifts smelled like pina colada and bubblegum! We had informed the hotel that we were staying there for our honeymoon. When we got into the room there was a sweet message on the bathroom mirror for us, then we came back to the room with complimentary cheesecake waiting for us.

The shower drainage was a bit odd. The water would flow under the shower door through to the drain outside of the shower stall, so our bathroom floor was wet all the time. They also tried to (but didn't end up) charge us for ice even though we went to fetch it from the restaurant ourselves.

Excellent location with interesting places that can be reached on foot, very close to the "City Hall" metro station (Green Line - Airport - and Red) located in front of the stop of many buses included Hop on Hop Off.Comfortable and efficient meter (there is no ticket and the 5 dollar card must be made from recharging).Upon our arrival, Mr. Sam of the Reception proposed us a upgrade for a premier club room View Marina Bay making us pay 3 nights instead of the 4 booked and offering us breakfast.We were also able to enjoy a series of options.The buffet restaurant is very good.Comfortable, quiet room, with kettle, fabulous view.We returned to Singapore after 32 years (!): Thanks to its numerous ... "prohibitions" continues to be an interesting city (state), even fascinating, clean, well served and liveable, absolutely very pleasant ... beyond of the really annoying heat-humid.Fortunately, air conditioning is everywhere!We would also return to Singapore tomorrow, certainly in this hotel.

No bar unless you were a Wyndham member. As a woman on her own I prefer to have a drink in the hotel bar rather than elsewhere. Also not a very good restaurant. Bedroom was large but a little spartan and the bed was rock hard. Hot water at the washbasin took at least five minutes to arrive. Stayed at this hotel thirteen years ago and really enjoyed it but was very disappointed by the way it is now run. Will not be using it again.

Room was a bit small but very clean. Housekeeping people are always checking on us, for room cleaning. Location is fantastic. Very near to metro, malls and city tour spots. Great for walking. They serve international breakfast. Food was great and staffs are friendly.

Nothing that I can remember. Everything is just perfect for us. The hotel facilities were great and staffs are amazing. It is indeed value for money.

breakfast was good, variety, but pricey

The receptionist / staff was not nice, did not communicate well, did not speak English well. He made it difficult when i was checking in, he did not want to use the card i used to pay. Not friendly at all while i was arriving in the evening and very tired after travelling from New Zealand. This kind of receptionist needs to be trained to treat customer in a decent way.

Well located, we use cheap and easy application car and skirt for various places of interest.Excellent service for breakfast.Check in and quick check out.Comfortable bed.Have a nice breakfast.

Frigobar does not freeze, bathroom does not have where to put the amenities (are on the floor).There is a stop to go up in the bathroom, my friend did not see and took a big bump.Quality of the very bad towels.

Not amazing but a “fine” property. Initially they gave me a wrong room. When I asked that I’m supposed to get a room as shown on my booking confirmation, Nick from the reception changed my room quickly to an amazing room from the garbage I was put into The new room had an amazing marina bay view.

Very old, at the refurbishing stage, I’m sure it will look amazing once renovated completely.

I like the swimming pool and fitness center. The location is excellent. Public transportation, food, shopping and banking services are nearby. Did not try the breakfast.

Even though my room was “upgraded” to a higher floor in the Peninsula tower, the room was very dated. Carpet was old, no extra power outlets nor USB ports for charging devices ( not acceptable nowadays).

The location is super convenient. And, I like firm beds, and their beds were pretty firm. I liked them very much.

There is a short pathway to a parking lot next to the hotel. People were always there smoking cigarettes until late. Probably there are night clubs around, and I could hear karaoke voices until late too. If your room is on that side, you might find it noisy.

Great location, handy for rail and food destination next door. Hotels own bar at street level was not over expensive. Nice relaxing pool area but only five recliners.

Nowhere to place soap/shampoo in shower but on the floor. Elevators could be slow. One was off over two days during our stay. Outside of hotel needs a coat of paint and windows need cleaning.

Breakfast was great value. Location was fantastic- all amenities, mrt and Padang were close by.

More drawers would have been nice and the bathroom was very small and a sewerage smell developed on the last night which seemed linked to flushing the toilet.

Changing room and access to main swimming pool antiquated and dirty. No drink service available at pool even when front desk staff said they would arrange it for us. Key card failed twice in a five night stay.

incredible location and everything is walking distance (including a shopping centre behind the hotel). two great pools and newly renovated rooms.

the bathroom door is a sliding door so not really lockable. the elevators were quite slow at times.

The room looked fairly nee, the beds were comfortable and the view of our room was awesome. I loved the fact that they tried to be more sustainable. The bathroom had a bidet/shattafah next to the toilet and a full size hairdryer.

The hotel location is convenient, and the attractions can be walked.The room is large, clean and tidy.Thank you for upgrading our two rooms as suite.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Solid 4 star. Room was small but suitable for 4 star hotel. The bed is too hard. The breakfast is just ok

Great location, close to underground and walking distance to Raffles. Shopping centre next door, lovely staff and facilities.

Some areas in need of improvement but undergoing maintenance at time of visit.

From the bathrooms, it has a very dangerous horrible stop, I almost fell, my son -in -law took a tumble and hurt the left foot, finally they should solve this very serious problem

The geographical location is very good. It is convenient to go anywhere in the city center, and it is quite fast to handle. The front desk staff is enthusiastic and friendly.

The location was so good.The rooms were big, clean and good.

It was a pity that the pool was small.It was uncomfortable because I had a height and an elevator key.
