Spacious and clean apartment for the family, and a good value. Never a shortage of power or hot water, the Wi-Fi and A/C worked well, great to have a fridge. The Brioche Doree around the corner is a great landmark for taxi drivers and an easy place for bread, breakfast, dinner (though there are lots of other options nearby), and the Ecobank ATM on the corner is one of the most reliable banks for a US card. Nice to be in a real neighborhood that’s not half tourists.

The neighborhood is a loud and dusty one and isn’t particularly near any of the likely tourist destinations in Dakar - downtown, beaches, etc. are a long taxi trip in Dakar traffic. For us it was a good calm neighborhood in the midst of an unusual week of political demonstrations and government response in Dakar, and the chance to be in the midst of real life was overall a good thing. Those planning to cook much in the kitchen may wish for a bit more in the way of dishes/utensils.

For Senegal standards, the room was above average. Of course it was simple, but the building was new and the bed comfortable, and the price was similar to other properties. Conveniently located in between Dakar and the airport (I gained around 20 minutes by staying there instead of in the city in my last night in Senegal).

If you want to be next to the beaches around Dakar, then maybe you should be closer to downtown/Ngor. It is a good hib if you need to stay closer to the airport though.

In the Mariste residence you feel at home.The staff is very attentive, you will never miss anything.A few meters you will find restaurants, bakeries, pizzerias and stores of all kinds.All at very accessible prices.You can walk how you want there is no danger!For my part I give a 10/10 I highly recommend this establishment !!!

The rooms are nice and of a good standard for the country. Everything at least semi-functioned.

The neighborhood really isn’t very nice. I was trying to stay close to bus station due to an early start but still kind of regretted it. Staff was soooooo bored with me even thought I only asked like one question …

No breakfast

Lack of maintenance, small leaks in the toilet, the kitchen is old, replaces the kitchen, check the toilet The too hard toilet pusher, you really need the strength.Also the cleaning at the bottom of the bottom left not good, enter you you notice it in the left room.

The hotel is well located, near a bank agency, restaurants and shops near the hotel and a feeling of security that guarantees your tranquility

I spent very little time at the hotel and I didn't have time to see something or a behavior that I did not like
