The Ashton Hotel

Great location, historic building, large spacious rooms.

Hotel parking is $48 per night. We were able to get creative and find a spot that ended up total cost of $8. In room water also carries a charge. I’m used to most hotels supplying several bottles on a complimentary basis. The Keurig in our room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Staff came and replaced it with a brand new one which was greatly appreciated. All that being said, we enjoyed our stay there.

The proximity to the Sundance Square food, entertainment and shopping area. Likewise, the ease of getting to the Cultural District for the art museums located there -- just a short bus ride away.

Most of the staff were unable to provide precise directions to any specific place nearby or at a short distance away. We had to rely on the info from the visitor center and the arts/entertainment pamphlet "The Key."

The location is great! You can easily walk to anything downtown. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were too. Front desk clerk was very friendly.

The steamer in the room didn’t work. However, there was an iron so I was able to use that. The rooms were a little small but how much room do you need to just stay overnight. It is an older hotel though so loved the design of it!!

There was no breakfast. Location was the reason we stayed there because of the Main Street Festival. Nice and quiet even though the windows face the street. Must be really great windows.

The valet. I know it wasn't all under their control, but the Hilton where it was valed lost our keys for about an hour and couldn't find them. Needs to be a better way.

No lighting. There were lots of windows if you wanted to leave your drapes open for lighting however, if you wanted privacy and to close your drapes, I literally had to use the flashlight on my phone to see things in the room during the day. No ice machines, you had to get that downstairs. It was free though :-).

Prime location, historical building so it has old world charm, and it’s beautiful. Seem to be a little short staffed, at least on this particular weekend (so is everyone right now) but it didn’t affect their service at all. The employees are very hard workers and do their job with a smile.

Location of hotel is superb. Just south of Sundance Square. Walking distance to fantastic restaurants and bars. 5 minutes walk to the train. Large double bed was so comfy and Molton Brown complimentary products in the bathroom

It was a quiet and peaceful experience and the staff was very friendly and service-oriented. We LOVED the bed and all the fluffy pillows, as well as the spacious bathroom and corner window views. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending this hotel to all our beloved ones.

The Ashton Hotel is in a great location in the historic district of Fort Worth and just a short walk to Sundance Square. The rooms are lovely art deco which fits with the heritage designation. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The air condition in the lobby was very cold.

Interesting historical property. Nicely done comfortable rooms.

Electrical outlets were very inconvenient in the room and the two outlets on the bedside lamp were very loose. Just a single guest chair in the room in order to accommodate a king size bed.

The central location in the Sundance Square district in Fort Worth.The proximity of restaurants.

The fact that the rooms are not made from Friday to Monday for lack of staff and therefore go to claim towels, toilet paper, etc.

Tea and coffee facilities needed in the rooms! Bottles of water in the room on arrival would be good but a very kind guy at reception gave us two bottles!

no bar , no bellman as we had to do it ourselves , no valet guy to find for hours while the Sinclair has all of this for same price next door .

The hotel restaurant is no longer open.

Overall, the hotel is not quite the superior full service hotel that it used to be.

Staff is wonderful... Our room was so comfy .. This is our 2nd time to stay. It is close to everything.
